What else is In THE News?- On June 1, we bid farewell to longtime Senior/ Community Center Supervisor Diana Holland (pictured, at left). Diana has retired after 16 years of dedicated service to the residents of our community. Annette Carrico (at right) has been named as Diana's replacement. Carrico returns to The Colony after serving in the same capacity for the past several years in Little Elm. Congrats, Diana! And welcome back, Annette!
- The Colony Police Department offers its congratulations to Det. Chris Vaughn, who retired on June 2 after having served over 25 years. Her performance over the years as the crimes-against-children detective was second to none, as she gave 100 percent to solving those difficult cases. She will be missed by all. Enjoy your well-earned retirement, Det. Vaughn!
- The swim beach at Stewart Creek Park is currently closed for repairs following the significant rain that we received last week. Staff is working to make the necessary repairs. Keep watch on our Parks & Recreation Facebook page for further updates. We apologize for the inconvenience
