March 1 Party Primary InformationDenton County voters will go to the polls on Election Day, March 1, 2022, for party primaries.
Early voting for the primaries began Feb. 14 and continues through Feb. 25. The dates and times of early voting are as follows: - Monday, Feb. 14, to Friday, Feb. 18: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Saturday, Feb. 19: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Sunday, Feb. 20: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Tuesday, Feb. 22, to Friday, Feb. 25: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Locally, early voting will be held at The Colony Annex building, 6804 Main St., just north of City Hall. Voters may cast ballots at any early voting location. Please visit the Denton County Elections Administration's website for more locations. On Election Day, Tuesday, March 1, 2022, polls will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters must cast ballots based on party preferences at locations determined by their individual precinct. Voters can click here to look up their precinct and confirm eligibility.  City offices, facilities, and the library will be closed Monday, Feb. 21, for Presidents' Day. The library will be closed Feb. 19-21. There will be no delays to trash/recycling collection. Thank you in advance for your patience.

What else is In THE News?- At its regular meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 15, The Colony City Council approved installation of a dedicated dual left-turn lane at the intersection of eastbound and westbound SH 121 frontage road and Plano Parkway, with an accompanying budget amendment to fund the project in the amount of $212,000.

- Residents looking for COVID-19 testing or vaccines are encouraged to contact Denton County Public Health. DCPH is offering free testing clinics as well as vaccination events. Vaccines close to home from other providers can also be found by visiting vaccines.gov/search.
