Voting info for Nov. 2 City Council ElectionEarly voting by personal appearance for the Nov. 2, 2021, City of The Colony City Council Election begins on Monday, Oct. 18, and continues through Friday, Oct. 29. Up for election this year are at-large City Council Places 1 & 2. The Mayor's seat is an uncontested race.
Early voting Hours vary by day as follows: - 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 18-23;
- 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 24; and,
- 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 25-29.
Locally, early voters may cast ballots at The Colony Annex Building, 6804 Main St., The Colony, TX 75056. Voters may also vote at any Denton County early voting location. To find locations near you, visit www.votedenton.com.
Election Day voting On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 2, polls will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters MUST cast ballots at locations determined by their individual precinct, as follows: - Precincts 2018, 2019, 2020: Prestonwood Baptist Church atrium, 6801 W. Park Boulevard, Plano, TX 75093.
- Precincts 2021, 2023, 2024: The Colony High School small gymnasium, 4301 Blair Oaks Drive, The Colony, TX 75056.
- Precincts 2022, 2025, 2026, 2027: The Colony Annex Building, 6804 Main St., The Colony, TX 75056.

What else is In THE News?- City offices, facilities, and the library will be closed Monday, Oct. 11, for Columbus Day. The library will be closed Oct. 9-11. There will be NO DELAYS to trash/recycling collection that week. For more information about holiday trash schedules, visit our Environmental Services page.
- The Colony City Council on Wednesday approved a $364K construction services contract with Roadway Solutions Inc. for a traffic signal at the Standridge & Memorial drives. The budgeted project is estimated to be completed by around August 2022.
- The next Ballads & Bonfires is from 6:30 to 8 p.m. this Friday at Stewart Creek Park. The weather forecast looks beautiful, so come enjoy a beautiful sunset, some great music from Tommy Busby, and delicious s'mores on the beach. - Enjoy a story and the outdoors at the same time! The Colony Public Library's next StoryWalk® will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, at Perryman Park, 4930 South Colony Blvd. Read a book page-by-page and interact with the story as you walk around the park.
