Restriping scheduled for North Colony Boulevard
Following recent approval by City Council, contractors are beginning the process of restriping and repainting the whole of North Colony Boulevard, from Sample Drive to Pecan Crossing. The work began Dec. 15 at the east end of the roadway, and will take place in segments of both directions, simultaneously, with the inside lanes of the segments closed. The project is estimated to last through the first week of January 2021, weather permitting. Please be cautious and #DriveSafe in work zones! Thank you in advance for your patience.

Exchange your goods in the Zone
With holiday shopping in full swing, The Colony Police Department reminds you to use its Exchange Zone (located in the PD parking lot behind the jail building) if you are selling or purchasing items online. It is monitored on camera 24/7. #Tip: If you find an item online for sale and the price is too good to be true, most likely it is a scam. Never agree to wire or send money to purchase an online item unless you have verified the authenticity of the seller.

- As of Dec. 3, the number of COVID-hospitalized patients as a percentage of total hospital capacity in Trauma Service Area E (which includes Denton County and the Dallas-Fort Worth area) exceeded 15% for seven consecutive days. In doing so, provisions of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott's Executive Order GA-32 took effect, reducing maximum occupancy at retail and restaurants to 50% and closing bars, among other provisions. These restrictions remain in effect until TSA E maintains a percentage of COVID patients below 15% for seven consecutive days. You can track hospital data on the Texas DSHS COVID-19 dashboard.
