[ARCHIVED] KTCB hosts Owl & Howl Prowl on Oct. 16

Owl & Howl Prowl

Have you ever been on a guided tour of The Colony Shoreline Trail? Here’s an opportunity to learn about the many wildlife, native plants from a local expert.

Join your Keep The Colony Beautiful Board for a rare chance to stay on the trail after hours and learn about the Shoreline Trail. Go on a leisurely, guided “Owl & Howl Prowl” from 6 to 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, to look for wildlife and their tracks and signs with Texas Master Naturalist Donna Cole. Listen and learn how to identify sounds from local nocturnal animals. Get educated about the wildlife that lives around and among us and how we can coexist peacefully.

The walk will be approximately 1-2 miles round trip. Bring water and dress for the weather; bug spray, binoculars and a flashlight are optional. Participants are asked to meet at intersection of Lakeshore Boulevard and Lake Ridge Drive between 5:45 and 6 p.m.
