During Red Bull Soapbox Race event week, Windhaven Parkway will experience partial and full closures between Plano Parkway and Midway Road from Wednesday, Sept. 25, to Sunday, Sept. 29.
The closures and associated traffic plans have been coordinated between the Red Bull Team and police departments from The Colony and Plano. All residents and businesses along the route should have received road closure schedules, specific access plans and alternate route instructions via their leasing offices or via the mail.
Please anticipate delays and adhere to the planned detours. All residents and businesses will have access 24 hours a day.
Race-week closures (subject to change) are scheduled as follows:
Wednesday, Sept. 25 | Windhaven Parkway
- Westbound open;
- Eastbound closed 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m., Plano Parkway to Saintsbury Road.
Thursday, Sept. 26 | Windhaven Parkway
- Eastbound open;
- Westbound closed 9:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Friday, Plano Parkway to Saintsbury Road.
Friday, Sept. 27 | Windhaven Parkway
- Eastbound and Westbound closed 9:30 a.m. – 6 a.m. Saturday, Plano Parkway to Saintsbury Road.
Saturday, Sept. 28 | Windhaven Parkway
- Eastbound and Westbound closed 6 a.m. – 6 p.m., Plano Parkway to Midway Road;
- Eastbound and Westbound closed 6 p.m. – 11:59 p.m., Plano Parkway to Saintsbury Road.
Sunday, Sept. 29 | Windhaven Parkway
- Eastbound and Westbound closed 12 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Plano Parkway to Saintsbury Road.
