THE COLONY, Texas — Storm debris clean-up will continue next week and focus on street-side pickup. The following resources are available to residents:
Regular green waste pickup will occur Monday, June 17. Please cut and bundle tree limbs to 5 feet or less so they will fit in the truck.
Larger storm debris will be collected street-side by a grappler truck next week. Tree limbs and other over-sized items must be cut to 20 feet or less. Please place street-side on the curb without blocking sidewalks.
Landfill passes are available to residents at the Customer Service counter inside City Hall, 6800 Main Street. Individuals requesting a landfill pass must show a valid photo ID and/or utility bill indicating residency in The Colony. Identification and landfill pass must be presented upon entry at the Camelot Landfill in Lewisville. The City’s Community Image Department has launched a new tool-lending program called The Colony Cares, in which residents may check out a variety of common home improvement tools for use on their property – FREE of charge. Tools include, but are not limited to: gas-powered lawn mowers; weed trimmers; blowers; shovels; ladders; pruning shears; hedge trimmers; and safety gear.
