[ARCHIVED] KTCB hosts Birds of Prey event - SOLD OUT

Interested attendees are advised this event has "sold out." All slots were reserved in less than a week. Another Birds of Prey event is being scheduled for late September. More info will be available about a month prior so keep watch for the next event!

ORIGINAL POST: Hawks, kestrels, falcons and other aerial assassins will glide through The Colony starting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 6, during a presentation by the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center.

The program is sponsored by your Keep The Colony Beautiful Board (KTCB) and will be held at the City Hall Annex, 6804 Main St., next door to City Hall. Doors open at 6 p.m. Ample parking will be available.

The 45-minute presentation will feature native raptors along with their handlers, who will be available to answer questions. This program is entertaining and informative for both children and adults. Given the popularity of the program, this event is by RESERVATION ONLY. Limited seating will be available. 

The program is free of charge but donations of the following items will be accepted to help the BLPRC with supply needs:

  • Bounty Quick-Size Paper Towels, White Family Rolls, 12 Count (equal to 30 regular rolls);
  • Clorox 30966 Concentrated Regular Bleach, 3 Count 121 OZ.; and,
  • Germ-x Hand Sanitizer, Original, Pump Bottle, 30 fluid ounces (pack of four).
