[ARCHIVED] Safety First: High lake levels force closures

Shoreline Trail 201905

Heavy rains have resulted in high water levels on Lewisville Lake. In the interests of safety, the Shoreline Trail and the Stewart Creek Park boat ramp, courtesy dock, and fishing pier are all closed. The park itself will be closing at 8 p.m. nightly.

NO swimming, NO wading, and NO tent camping is allowed. Please use caution along the shoreline due to underwater hazards. Guests who do not abide by these rules will be asked to leave the park. No refunds will be issued.

Once the lake levels recede and some repairs can be made, we will reopen the trail.

For more information contact Parks & Recreation at 972-625-1106.
