[ARCHIVED] TCPD hosts National Night Out on Aug. 7

822

The Colony Police Department wants you to join them in participating in National Night Out for 2018 by organizing a block party in your neighborhood!

National Night Out will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7. We encourage all neighbors throughout the City of The Colony to participate in the nationwide annual National Night Out crime- and drug-prevention event. To make this year as successful as in years past, we request your participation, as follows:

  • Notify your neighbors to turn on their porch lights and come outside.
  • Organize a block party.
  • Register your party (only if you wish to block your street) with The Colony Police Department.

National Night Out helps strengthen neighborhood spirit and reinforces police-community partnerships to make our community a safer place to live and play. Anyone interested in signing up to host a National Night Out Block Party may contact Officer Rick De La Cruz at [email protected]. Signing up early will ensure that we can send police and fire personnel to your neighborhood.

National Night Out is supported by the National Association of Town Watch and in part by the Bureau of Justice Assistance, Office of Justice Programs and the U.S. Department of Justice.
