[ARCHIVED] Renovations impact dog services at TCAS

In order to facilitate much-needed renovations to the indoor kennels and flooring, The Colony Animal Shelter's dog-adoption services will be closed for eight days starting Friday, July 6.

During that time, The Colony Animal Control Officers will still be working in the field to address strays and respond to calls but the Shelter facility will be ill-equipped for dog surrenders and no dog adoptions will be processed. By Friday, the Shelter's existing dog population will be relocated to neighboring shelters but in the meantime, anyone who comes in to adopt a dog between now and 6 p.m. Thursday will pay NO fees thanks to the contribution of a local Friend of TCAS. The Shelter will be closed Wednesday, July 4, for Independence Day. For more information, contact The Colony Animal Services at 972-970-3250.
