Some current and upcoming roadwork projects include the addition of a right-turn lane on West Lake Highlands Drive. All work is weather-permitting. The East Lake Highlands repaving project was recently completed.
Main Street road repairs
Starting April 10, the Texas Department of Transportation, which owns and operates FM 423 (Main Street in The Colony), will be making repairs along Main Street between State Highway 121 and Lebanon Road. The project will include full-depth road repair in various locations of both the north- and southbound lanes. There will be various lane closures throughout the life of the project, weeknights from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. This project is expected to be completed by fall of 2023. Please #DriveSafe in work zones!
