[ARCHIVED] Planning Department submissions now exclusively online

web-Paperless Planning

As part of a recent software upgrade, the city's Planning Department is excited to announce it will now be able to accept and review all departmental submissions (such as plans and project applications) through a new paperless, online portal.

The new portal is available here or through the Planning Department webpage.

Deputy City Manager Joe Perez said the digital/online submission capabilities – both for customers and for department staff tasked with reviewing applications – were among the main benefits and features that came with the recent upgrade to our Trakit software.

“With this option now available, we expect to see a reduction of paper used; increased efficiency in our internal review processes; and an increase in our ability to communicate status updates in real time via the online portal with anyone who submits a permit application or calls in for an inspection,” Perez said.

The city will continue to roll out digital submission options across other departments within the city in the coming year. “By doing so, we feel that we will be able to enhance our customers’ experience by offering an option few municipalities are able to offer at this time,” added Perez.
