At 3:09 a.m. May 27, 2022, The Colony Police Department responded to an alarm call at El Pollo Regio restaurant on Main Street, south of South Colony Boulevard.
Officers arrived and found that the front glass door had been shattered. Officers cleared the building and found no subjects inside the business. A person of interest was arrested in close proximity to the business on an unrelated arrest warrant, and is being investigated to determine any involvement.
Dallas PD is assisting in the investigation as there have been multiple El Pollo Regio burglaries throughout the Metroplex recently. The Criminal Investigations Division were called to the scene for further investigation.
There is no additional information currently available and the investigation is ongoing.
