In mid-May, TCFD Capt. Westbrook Teer, Capt. James McAllister, and Paramedics Stephen Wilcox, Andrew Mowery, and Anthony Hernandez took part in a special medical operations conference hosted by the Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY).

Participants returned with a plethora of new knowledge, training techniques, and ideas to help further the department’s emergency medical goals.

TCFD personnel also took part in a first-response scenario involving injured persons on a subway. While not directly applicable to The Colony, the scenario provided insight into working in hazardous environments involving heavy machinery and multiple patients.

All TCFD personnel were grateful for the opportunity for such advanced training.CarRescue-TCFD_at_FDNY
