On July 14-15, The Colony Fire Department relocated the outdoor warning siren previously at the intersection of South Colony and Memorial to a new location at the city's water-tower site on Chesapeake Drive.
- Following relocation, contractors performed one full test approximately 2:15 p.m. Thursday, July 15, to ensure proper installation and operation.
This move is necessary because the land for the current location has changed hands. There will be no change, however, to the siren's effective coverage from the new location.
Visit our Emergency Outdoor Warning page for more information about the system.
