Welcome and thank you for your interest in volunteering your time to The Colony Public Library. Help out and have fun! Library volunteers help fulfill the Library's goal of providing excellent service to the community. Volunteer service is performed with guidance from the Library staff and may include such activities as:
Getting new materials ready to be placed in the collection
Assisting with youth programs
Shelf-reading (keeping the materials in order)
Assisting with production of promotional materials
Teaching classes about popular subjects
Leading book discussion groups
Developing local history files
Helping with general maintenance or cleaning
To start the process of volunteering at The Colony Public Library, complete either the Library's adult volunteer application form (18 and over) or youth volunteer application form (under 18). Volunteer applicants under the age of 18 must complete the youth volunteer application form and have a parent or guardian digitally sign the online waiver.
If you need further information about volunteering at the Library, contact the Library's Volunteer Coordinator Tammy Beauchamp or call 972-624-4417.
