Payments by mail should be postmarked on or before your court appearance or due date or a warrant and failure to appear charge will be issued for your arrest. Allowing a court case to go into a warrant status substantially increases the amount of the fines and fees due.
Payment in the form of money order is to be payable to The Colony Municipal Court. Make certain the amount sent is sufficient to pay the fine in full unless other arrangements with the court have been requested and approved. Please put your citation number on your money order.
Credit card payments are accepted in person, not through the mail or by phone. When paying in person you may use your Visa, MasterCard, Debit Card, cash, money order, or cashiers check. You can pay the Municipal Court Fee payment online.
Payment Drop Off
Payments may be dropped off at The Colony Municipal Court (Main front door area) after 5 p.m. weekdays or any time on the weekends. Money order must be in a sealed envelope marked with "Your name and Citation number".
Any requests for extensions to pay must be made in person and a plea entered to the court. If the fine is not paid in full within 30 days from date of plea and extension, late fees will apply and a warrant of arrest may be issued with additional fees. Extension Form Extension Form - Short
Active Warrant Payments
Payments for active warrants are accepted in cash, money order or by credit card. You pay your Warrant by utilizing the Municipal Court Fee payment online. Please note that warrant payments made by mail or online will not be cleared until the Municipal Court receives and processes your payment. Until the payment is processed you are still subject to arrest.
