We Are Going Digital on All Submittals!
The City of The Colony Planning and Zoning Department is implementing a new online portal for project application submittals. Starting in 2023, development project applicants will need to visit the Online Development Portal. This portal will allow applicants to submit for all development types including: Site Plan, Plat, Gateway Standards Waiver, Board of Adjustment Variance, and Specific Use Permit (SUP) among others.
Goals and Objectives
The primary function of The Colony Planning and Zoning Department is to provide excellent customer service. We assist prospective business developers, residential developers, property owners, and citizens with their development project ideas or improvements in a timely fashion. The Development Review Committee (DRC), facilitated through the Planning and Zoning Department, is flexible enough to enable expedited review and timely approval to meet construction schedules. We strive to provide all applicants with the best possible experience working with city staff, the Planning and Zoning Commission, the Board of Adjustment, and Sign Board of Appeals throughout the review and approval process.
The Dallas-Fort Worth area is growing and The Colony is excited to be a part of this exponential growth.
