Citizen Police Academy
The Citizen Police Academy started in 1994 and is a block of instruction designed to give the public a working knowledge of The Colony Police Department.

As a service to our community, we can arrange for officers to give presentations on many varied topics. Find more information on getting an officer to speak at your next event.

Crime Prevention
The Colony Police Department has a community crime prevention program with the goal of reducing crime, and the opportunity for crime. There are several programs that we offer the citizens of The Colony at no cost, such as Neighborhood Watch, Security Surveys, Citizen Police Academy, Homeowners Insurance Reduction Program, and Identity Theft prevention.

Explorer Post 5151
Law Enforcement Exploring is a program affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America. The purpose of the program is to acquaint young men and young women with careers in Law Enforcement.
