The 2018 General Election will be held Tuesday, November 6, 2018. The election will select candidates to fill at large positions: Mayor, Place 1 and Place 2 on the City Council. The first day to file an application for a place on ballot or write-in candidacy is Saturday, July 21, 2018. The Last day for filing an application for a place on ballot for the general election is Monday, August 20, 2018.
Residents who have not previously registered to vote, or have moved from another county, will need to register with the Denton County Elections Administration Office by visiting https://www.votedenton.com/ or by phone at 940-349-3200. Once you have registered to vote, you should receive your card within 30 days.
Please note: Due to the three year term limit, there will not be an election November 2019.
