The Public Works Department Traffic Control section maintains all regulatory, advisory, and informational signs within the limits of dedicated rights-of-way in the city. The city also maintains nine traffic lights at key intersections throughout the city, with maintenance services provided by private contractors. There are an additional nine traffic signals located along state highways (Main St./FM 423 and SH 121) that are managed by the Texas Department of Transportation.
