Cities Aggregation Power Project (CAPP)

The City of The Colony has been a member of the Cities Aggregation Power Project (CAPP) since its inception.  CAPP was formed when electric deregulation began in Texas in 2002.  Cities banded together (aggregated) their electricity needs in order to get favorable, large-volume pricing from the newly created electricity providers.  CAPP has recorded over one-hundred million ($100,000,000) dollars in savings for its 100 members from January, 2002 to the present.  For more information on CAPP, please visit the web site located at http://capptx.com.
