Payments by mail should be postmarked on or before your court appearance or due date or a warrant and failure to appear charge will be issued for your arrest. Allowing a court case to go into a warrant status substantially increases the amount of the fines and fees due.
Payment in the form of check or money order is to be payable to The Colony Municipal Court. Make certain the amount sent is sufficient to pay the fine in full. All incorrect checks or partial payments will be returned and the case will remain open. Please put your ticket number on your check or money order.
Credit card payments are accepted in person, not through the mail or by phone. When paying in person you may use your Visa, MasterCard, Debit Card, cash, personal check, money order, or cashiers check. Municipal Court Fee payment online
Payments may be dropped off at The Colony Police Department (dispatch lobby area) after 5 p.m. weekdays or on the weekends. Check or money order must be in a sealed envelope marked “COURT”.
Any requests for extensions to pay must be made in person and a plea entered to the court. If the fine is not paid in full within 30 days from date of plea and extension, late fees will apply and a warrant of arrest may be issued with additional fees.
Payments for active warrants are accepted in cash, money order or by credit card.
